Job Description:
As a Banquet Server & Bartender, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality service during events and functions. You will be responsible for setting up, serving, bartending, and cleaning up during events, all while ensuring that guests receive the highest level of service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Preparation: Set up tables, chairs, linens, bars, and other necessary items for events according to the event specifications.
- Food & Beverage Service: Serve food and beverages to guests in a prompt and courteous manner. Ensure all guests’ needs are met and address any requests or concerns.
- Bartending: Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a professional and responsible manner. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar throughout the event.
- Responsible Alcohol Service: Follow all applicable liquor laws and responsible service practices, including checking identification when required and refusing service when necessary.
- Bar Set-Up & Close: Assist with bar setup and breakdown, including stocking beverages, preparing garnishes and supplies, maintaining cleanliness, and securing bar areas at the end of the event.
- Clean-Up: Efficiently clear and clean tables, chairs, bar areas, and other equipment after the event. Ensure the venue is left in excellent condition.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, bartenders, servers, and event coordinators to ensure smooth event execution.
- Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, responsible alcohol service requirements, as well as company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in serving, bartending, or hospitality is preferred but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.
- Skills: Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Bartending Skills: Comfortable preparing and serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Previous bartending experience is an asset.
- Appearance: Professional appearance and demeanor. Uniforms will be provided.
- Availability: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Banquet serving and bartending shifts will be scheduled based on upcoming events and may vary depending on event requirements.
