PCF is an important business unit within LCL that manages and develops the products and service programs in order to improve the customer experience, maximize value, and provide a platform to enhance customer insights and relationships. Reporting to the Manager, AML Operations, the Assistant Manager, AML Operations will be responsible for supporting and managing the day to day tasks associated with PC Bank’s AML/ATF policies, vendor oversight and ensuring adherence to PC Bank’s AML/ATF policies.
What You'll Do:
Assisting to implement the Banks’ AML/ATF program to ensure compliance with all Legislative and Regulatory requirements including PCMLTFR and OSFI Guideline B-8;
Recommending and implementing appropriate systems policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws, prudential standards, rules and guidelines and industry best practice;
Responsible for the execution of a quality assurance program over outsourced partners to ensure quality standards are met, including review and submission of Suspicious Transaction Reports, PEP, adverse news and Sanction escalations;
Regular monitoring of relevant laws, prudential standards, rules and guidelines and industry best practices to ensure compliance on a continuing basis;
Monitoring and investigating transactions and accounts for suspicion of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing;
Investigate and resolve sanctions, negative news and PEP alerts;
Ensure proper investigation and resolution of unusual and suspicious transactions;
Assist in ensuring that all AML/ATF related processes are aligned with company policies and standards;
Maintain an up-to-date understanding of money laundering and terrorist financing issues, including policies, procedures, legislation and regulations, industry best practice, criminal typologies and developing trends;
Maintaining reporting on all activities related to the PC Bank's AML/ATF processes
What You'll Need:
Minimum undergraduate degree, preferably in Business, Commerce or equivalent;
Three to five years of AML/ATF operational experience at a Canadian Financial Institution; CAMS certified or currently enrolled in the CAMS certification program would be an asset;
The candidate must have a Canadian compliance (AML/ATF) background and have a working understanding of the PCMLTFR and OSFI Guideline B-8;
An understanding of Financial Services is required, experience with credit cards would be an asset;
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and internet navigation, experience with SharePoint would be an asset;
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to foster and develop relationships both internally and externally with regulatory stakeholders;
A good team player who is also able to work independently in a fast paced environment
