Maintenance Technician (Landscaping & Snow Removal )Position Overview
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our property maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining our properties throughout the year, including landscaping, snow removal, and basic day-to-day repairs and maintenance.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has good practical/handyman skills, and can identify and complete basic repairs independently.
Key Responsibilities
Landscaping & Grounds Maintenance
- Grass cutting, trimming, edging, and general lawn maintenance
- Weed removal and seasonal cleanup
- Spring and fall property cleanup
- Maintain outdoor areas in a clean, safe, and presentable condition
Snow Removal
- Snow removal from walkways, entrances, parking areas, and other property areas
- Shovelling, snow blowing, and salting/sanding as required
- Respond to snow and ice events, including early morning or after-hours work when necessary
- Monitor properties for icy or unsafe conditions
Basic Maintenance & Handyman Work
- Perform basic day-to-day repairs and maintenance around residential properties
- Minor drywall repairs and patching
- Basic door, lock, cabinet, and hardware repairs
- Basic caulking and sealing
- Identify maintenance issues and report larger or specialized repairs to management
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous landscaping, snow removal, property maintenance, or handyman experience preferred
- Basic hand-tool skills
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to operate landscaping and snow-removal equipment safely
- Good physical fitness and ability to lift, carry, shovel, and perform physical work
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication
- Valid driver's licence is an asset
Work Schedule
- Full-time position
- Approximately 40 hours per week
- Seasonal and weather-related work may require flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and emergency snow response
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
