We’re hiring! The Canada Council for the Arts is looking for a Help Desk Technician (Casual Contract) to support our dynamic IT team.
About the Role:
As a Help Desk Technician, you’ll be the first point of contact for technical support, providing first- and second-level assistance to staff across the organization. Your work will be essential in keeping our IT systems running smoothly—resolving issues, offering guidance, and contributing to a positive, reliable user experience.
What We’re Looking For:
- Diploma in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of relevant IT experience
- Strong technical knowledge of software, hardware, and networks
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Asset: Experience with Cloud Computing or network security
Work Environment: Onsite – 5 days per week in our offices in Ottawa
Bilingual (English/French) required
Enhanced reliability status required
Preferably full-time (37.5 hrs/week), but part-time options can be discussed
Contract: ASAP to September 4, 2026
Salary: $38.21–$44.99/hour + 8% in lieu of vacation/stat holidays
