Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer (P.Eng) to join our team in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The ideal candidate is a motivated and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and has a strong background in Finite Element Analysis (FEA), project management, and mechanical design using AutoCAD and Inventor.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the multi-modal transportation industry and a proven ability to deliver innovative engineering solutions in complex, dynamic environments across the transportation and steel construction sectors.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage mechanical design projects from concept through to completion.
- Perform detailed Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to support product development and structural integrity assessments.
- Develop 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using AutoCAD, Inventor and Tekla.
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, electrical, and civil engineering disciplines.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and engineering expertise throughout all project stages.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the estimation team with design concepts and drafting
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation and registration with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba (EGM).
- Minimum 5 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency with FEA tools, AutoCAD, and Inventor.
- Proven experience in project management and leading engineering projects.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in the multi-modal transportation industry is considered a strong asset.

Pay: $56,511.96-$125,908.30 per year
