Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking General Farm Worker to join our agricultural team. This role involves supporting daily farm operations, maintaining equipment, and assisting with crop production. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and the ability to operate various farm tools and machinery. This position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience farm maintenance within a dynamic agricultural environment.
Duties
- Assist with planting, watering, and harvesting crops using appropriate tools and equipment
- Operate farm machinery such as tractors, tillers, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- operate GPS and other technological devices.
- Use hand tools and power tools for repairs, adjustments, and general farm upkeep
- Conduct regular inspections of crops and farm infrastructure to identify issues or needed repairs
- Assist with heavy lifting of supplies, equipment, or harvested produce as required
- Maintain CLEANLINESS and organization of the farm work areas and equipment.
- Support other farm activities including fertilization, pest control, and soil preparation
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of crop practices and crop management preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery and equipment operation
- Class 1A an asset , must be willing to obtain.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and general maintenance tasks
- Strong physical stamina capable of heavy lifting and extended periods of manual labor
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and record keeping
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Prior experience working on a farm or in agricultural settings is necessary
- Must be able to pass any necessary safety training or certifications related to farm operations
Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour
