Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finish Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, woodworking, and various finishing techniques, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. This role involves working on residential, commercial, or restoration projects, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and precision in all finish carpentry tasks. The Finish Carpenter will collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to deliver exceptional results on time and within specifications.
Responsibilities
- Complete the final 10% of renovation projects to a high standard.
- Identify and correct deficiencies before client possession.
- Troubleshoot installation issues and develop practical solutions.
Can include but not limited to;
- Install cabinetry, molding, trim, doors, windows, and other woodwork components with precision
- Install shelving and closet systems
- Apply construction painting, caulking, and sealing techniques to ensure durable finishes
- Cabinet adjustments and installations
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various carpentry tasks
- Assist with restoration projects by repairing or refurbishing existing structures
- Collaborate with team members on framing, assembly, plumbing, electrical work, and other related trades when necessary
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols at all times
- Estimate materials and time requirements for finish carpentry tasks to support project planning
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding schematics for accurate execution of projects
- Extensive experience with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment used in carpentry and woodworking
- Knowledge of concrete forming, masonry, rebar installation, siding, roofing, and flooring installation
- Ability to perform tile laying and cabinet installation with attention to detail
- Strong understanding of construction estimating processes and project timelines
- Familiarity with plumbing and electrical systems relevant to finish carpentry is advantageous
- Handyman experience or general construction experience is highly valued
- Ability to lift heavy materials safely and work at heights or in confined spaces as needed

Requirements
