Job Description
Sacré-Davey currently has an opportunity for a Project Manager. We are seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual with excellent technical and organizational skills, an ability to prioritize tasks and coordinate with multi-disciplines, and who takes pride in producing quality work with a high degree of accuracy and superior attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have experience in an engineering consulting environment.
Responsibilities:
Executes projects safely, within budget, on schedule, to the specified quality and in accordance with Sacre-Davey’s business principles.
Actively demonstrates support for the corporate position on health, safety, sustainable development, diversity, quality management and a respectful workplace.
Demonstrates good business principles and possesses a strong understanding of the Engineering Code of Ethics.
Acts as the primary contact for clients; demonstrates professionalism, excellent communication skills, and problem-solving abilities in all interactions.
Provides supervision and direction to engineers, designers, drafters, and project support staff for any relevant projects.
Coordinates the efficient use of resources in collaboration with other project managers, discipline leads, and executives.
Responsible for conducting project kick-offs and review meetings, coordinating client review meetings, preparing progress reports, and ensuring that the project is meeting client objectives.
Manages the scope of projects during execution
Maintains accurate project contract and schedule information in the company ERP system.
Resolves engineering issues and ensures a high engineering quality by monitoring key engineering documents/drawings/calculations etc.
Coordinates construction, commissioning and operational issues and ensures tight definition and understanding between contractors and the site if required.
Conducts project close-out reviews and provides feedback to engineering leads.
Contributes to project proposals by establishing projects’ scope, work breakdown structure, execution plan, and engineering fee estimate.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Registered as a Professional Engineer in British Columbia (or eligible to register).
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (Chemical or Mechanical preferred).
Minimum of 10 years of applicable project management experience, including industrial experience.
PMP Certification
Experience with budgets over $5 million, from Feasibility to Construction.
Knowledge of MS Project, Excel, Word and other MS software.
Skilled in contract negotiation and administration.
Team builder and facilitator, skilled interpersonal interactions.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Client-driven; dedicated to exceeding client expectations.
Honest and ethnically motivated.
