Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to oversee our organization’s financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounting processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets to provide insights into company performance.
- Oversee account reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for cost savings or process improvements.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other platforms to streamline financial operations.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, tax regulations, and industry standards.
- Coordinate with external auditors during audits and prepare necessary documentation.
- Develop and monitor budgets in collaboration with senior management to support strategic planning.
- Implement best practices for financial reporting and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Jonas and other relevant platforms.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices with experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and budgeting.
- Excellent account reconciliation and account analysis skills to ensure data integrity.
- Ability to interpret financial data accurately and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new systems or processes and work independently or as part of a team.
- Prior experience in a similar role with a solid understanding of regulatory compliance is preferred. Pay: $73,307.80-$138,513.50 per year
