Position Summary
The Kingston Sentinels are seeking dependable and hardworking individuals to join our Game Day Setup & Teardown Crew. This role is responsible for preparing the venue before home games and dismantling equipment afterward to ensure a professional and enjoyable experience for athletes, officials, and fans.
This position does not require working during the game itself. Crew members will work before kickoff and return after the game for teardown duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload truck with game day equipment and supplies.
- Set up and take down tents, tables, chairs, signage, barriers, and other event infrastructure.
- Move equipment between storage truck and designated setup locations.
- Assist with organizing and storing equipment following each event.
- Ensure all setup and teardown tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
- Follow directions from the Game Day Operations Manager.
- Maintain a safe work environment and use proper lifting techniques.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to repeatedly lift and carry 50+ pounds throughout the shift.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Capable of safely handling large and bulky items such as tents, tables, chairs, bins, and event equipment.
Qualifications
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently.
- Previous experience in manual labour, event setup, moving, construction, landscaping, or similar work is an asset but not required.
Schedule
- Home games only (schedule will be shared during interview process)
- Approximately 2–3 hours before each home game for setup.
- Approximately 2–3 hours after each home game for teardown.
- No duties required during the game itself.
Compensation
- Hourly wage to be determined based on experience and qualifications.
