Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Registered Nurse (RN) to support medication safety by witnessing the daily intake of Methadone & Suboxone by residents.
This role requires 1 hour daily commitment, Preferably from 6pm-7pm.
Methadone & Suboxone experience is preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Witness and document the self-administration of medications by shelter residents.
- Ensure medications are taken as prescribed and in a safe, respectful environment.
- Identify and report any concerns related to medication adherence or resident wellness.
- Collaborate with pharmacy, shelter staff and case workers as needed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with professional standards and shelter protocols.
Qualifications:
- Current registration with the provincial College of Nurses (RN).
- CPR/First Aid certification (up to date).
- Experience working with vulnerable populations or in shelter/community health settings is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
- Strong interpersonal and documentation skills.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5.0 – 10.0 per week
Licence/Certification:
- Registered Nurse License in Ontario (required)
