ROLE
Reporting to the Director, Quality, Patient Safety & Interprofessional Practice, the Manager, Clinical Nutrition, Diabetes and Nutrition/Food Services is responsible leading and coordinating all aspects of their departments at all four Alliance sites. This role ensures the delivery of evidence-based nutritional care, compliance with regulatory standards, and the promotion of optimal patient outcomes. The Manager facilities interprofessional practice and collaborative care by effectively leading their interdisciplinary teams and promoting quality improvement initiatives to further develop their programs.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION(S)
- Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field required
- Registered member in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario required
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE(S)
- Minimum 7 to 10 years related experience in Clinical Nutrition
- Management experience in Clinical Nutrition
- Demonstrated exceptional leadership and team building skills
- Proven management skills including financial, human resources, quality improvement, change management, evaluation and planning and utilization management skills
- Well-developed mutual gain negotiation and conflict management resolution skills
- Demonstrated analytical skills necessary to gather and interpret qualitative and quantitative data
- Ability to prioritize the competing demands of the position
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated planning, organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to utilize a diverse platform of technology
- Demonstrated commitment to patient and staff safety and exemplary patient/customer experience
- Well-developed computer skills, including knowledge of Meditech, Microsoft Office, Word and Excel programs
- Demonstrated knowledge of hyperacute, acute and rehabilitation stroke care best practices
DESIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE(S) & EDUCATION
- Certified Diabetes Educator preferred
