Overview
This job position is for our Ottawa East location in Alfred, Ontario.
The Maintenance Staff at Daiva RV Resorts are responsible for the upkeep, repair, and overall functionality of resort facilities and equipment. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for all guests. Maintenance staff work closely with resort management to maintain high operational standards and promptly address any issues that may arise.
This role may not be limited to the responsibilities listed below and may include additional duties as required to support resort operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Facility Maintenance
- Perform routine cleaning, maintenance and repairs on all resort facilities, including plumbing, electrical, pool, well, septic, HVAC, and other operational systems.
- Conduct regular inspections to proactively identify maintenance needs and prevent operational issues.
- Maintain resort grounds, buildings, and structures, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and aesthetic appeal.
2. Equipment Repair and Maintenance
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair resort equipment, including recreational facilities, small machinery, laundry machines, and utility systems.
- Ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently at all times.
- Document maintenance performed and any recurring issues for follow-up.
3. Safety and Compliance
- Adhere to all safety regulations, protocols, and company policies to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining safety procedures and emergency protocols.
- Conduct routine safety checks of facilities, equipment, and grounds.
4. Guest Services Support
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff.
- Provide courteous, professional service while addressing issues to ensure a positive guest experience.
- Assist resort staff in coordinating maintenance during events, check-ins, or peak operational periods.
5. Inventory Management
- Monitor and maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Place orders as needed to ensure availability of essential items.
- Track maintenance expenses and assist management in budget planning and resource allocation.
6. Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and repairs performed.
- Report major issues or recurring problems to the Resort Manager promptly.
- Collaborate with management on recommendations for upgrades, replacements, or improvements to resort facilities.
Qualifications
- Experience in maintenance, repair, or facility management is preferred.
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, pool, and general facility maintenance is ideal.
- Preferred to have the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems safely and efficiently.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor as required.
Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
