We are looking to add additional, motivated talent to join our dynamic trademark team. This position provides key support to professionals, focusing on prosecution, opposition, and regulatory work.
This position offers a unique opportunity for learning, autonomy, and development in trademarks.
Experience:
- Two to five years relevant trademark working experience.
- Experience with reporting Recordals, Declarations, Assignments, Advertisements, and Reminders, Cost Estimates, Corporate Searches.
- Experience with the trademark process including opening new files, application preparation, filing, prosecution, registration, renewal, and management of trademark portfolio.
- Experience billing, monitoring due dates, file management, responding to clients and/or following up with CIPO.
- Proven team skills, including communication, collaboration, and cooperation with peers and professionals.
Qualifications:
- Legal Assistant Diploma/Certificate or Law Clerk Degree.
- Familiarity with IP docketing and DMS software.
- Proven experience working in trademark, remote and electronic environments.
- Strong working knowledge of legal software and standard MS Office software; (Word, Excel).
- Effective collaboration and cooperation skills, open to participating in team meetings and workflow discussions.
- Proactive, problem-solving skills.
- Solid time management skills, able to work on assignments from multiple professionals.
- Excellent attention to detail and work product presentation.
