The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. Position summary
Department / Research Program: CVIS / IDIGH
We are seeking a highly motivated, organized and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic team. Under the immediate supervision of the principal investigators, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting the successful conduct and coordination of a 5-year CIHR-funded study focused on improving access to HIV prevention and treatment services for migrants in Montreal, Quebec. The incumbent will act as the direct link between the principal investigators, the research team, and the external stakeholders, including study recruitment sites and community partners.
General Duties
- Assisting in the development of study protocols, consent forms, questionnaires, and other study documents,
- Assisting with ethic submissions and amendments,
- Assisting with logistics and communication between study partners
- Assisting with participant recruitment, data collection, and storing of study documents according to the research protocol,
- Ensure proper and efficient documentation and research organization in a timely manner,
- Assisting in the preparation and submission of abstracts and manuscripts,
- Performing other job-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor, including support to other investigators and research coordinators.

Education / Experience
Education: Master's Degree
Field of Study: Public Health, Epidemiology, or other related field
Work Experience: Minimum of two years of clinical research experience in an academic environment or/and in a clinical research organization required. Work experience involving migrant populations and/or in the field of STBBIs is an asset.
Required Skills
- This position requires an advanced knowledge of oral and written French.,
- An advanced knowledge of oral and written English is required, as the position requires regular and complex contact with patients who are exclusively proficient in English. The position also requires complex writing or in-depth analysis of documents in English related to a research project.
- Fluency in third language, ideally Spanish
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
- Ability to work independently or with teams with minimum supervision,
- Strong sense of organization and high degree of efficiency,
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook),
- Programming skills in R or a similar program is an asset.
Additional information
Status: Temporary, full time (35-hour workweek)
Pay Scale: Commensurate with education and experience
Work Shift: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm
Work Site: 5252 de Maisonneuve Blvd.
- This position offers the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement (on-site and remote).
