Overview
Join our team and help bring to life our cozy detective game Almanac: Detective Agency. We are looking for a part-time video editor to create the short-form content, trailers, and cutscene edits that show our game off.
This is a flexible, contract role: a steady stream of short videos plus project-based work on our trailer and cutscenes. You'll produce the content; our community lead handles posting and engagement.
Key responsibilities:
- Create and test short-form videos (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) to find the formats that land for our game
- Capture and stage footage in-engine in Unity, with support from the team
- Edit and help plan our game trailer
- Work with our animators to edit and assemble cutscenes
- Strong research and presentation skills
Who we are looking for:
- Strong video editing skills (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, or similar)
- A feel for short-form content: hooks, pacing, and what performs for games on TikTok, Reels, and Shorts
- Comfortable capturing and staging footage in Unity, or able to pick it up quickly with the team's help
- Reliable and self-directed, able to balance steady output with project bursts
- A reel or portfolio of your video work
Bonus skills:
- Motion graphics or After Effects work
- Experience cutting game trailers or gameplay content
- Familiarity with cutscene or cinematic editing
- Interest in cozy, narrative, or mystery games
