We’re growing and looking to add an experienced dance instructor to our team.
As our studio continues to expand, we’re looking for someone who can teach contemporary, jazz, AND.OR hip-hop classes across both recreational and competitive levels, while playing a key role in developing dancers, choreography, and studio programs.
Requirements
- ADAPT Certification (required)
- Minimum 2 years of dance teaching experience
- Strong technical foundation in contemporary, jazz
- Experience teaching students across various age groups and skill levels
- Experience choreographing routines for both recreational and competitive dancers
- Ability to follow and execute studio curriculum while adapting classes to student needs
- Ability to choreograph engaging, age appropriate routines that emphasize: clean technique, musicality, performance quality, stage presence
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Professional dance training and acrobatics certifications/licenses considered an asset
- Ability to confidently demonstrate movement and provide technical corrections
What You’ll Do
- Plan and deliver engaging weekly classes focused on: technique development, conditioning, flexibility, choreography, performance quality
- Teach students ranging from beginner to competitive levels
- Prepare lesson plans and class materials throughout the season
- Choreograph recreational and competitive routines
- Prepare dancers for competitions, showcases, recitals, and end of season performances
- Provide clear, constructive feedback to help students improve technique and execution
- Maintain a positive, disciplined, and professional studio environment
- Support dancer growth and progression throughout the season
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively across different age groups
- Collaborate with studio staff and communicate professionally with parents when required
