Implementation Consultant (Project Manager) – EHS Digital Solutions
Location: Calgary, Alberta (Remote – Full Time)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Implementation Consultant (Project Manager) to lead the successful delivery of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) and Environmental Management Information System (EMIS) implementations for enterprise clients.
This role is responsible for managing and facilitating the deployment of leading EHS platforms such as Enablon (AQS / Metrics), Intelex, VelocityEHS, and similar solutions. The successful candidate will combine strong project management, business analysis, and stakeholder engagement skills with a practical understanding of environmental compliance and sustainability reporting processes.
This is a client-facing leadership role focused on implementation governance and delivery oversight rather than hands-on technical configuration.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Governance
- Lead end-to-end implementation projects for EHS and EMIS platforms.
- Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, resources, risks, and overall delivery governance.
- Develop and maintain project plans, status reports, and executive-level communications.
- Ensure successful delivery in alignment with client expectations, business objectives, and contractual commitments.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
Stakeholder & Team Coordination
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders.
- Facilitate project meetings, steering committee sessions, workshops, and status reviews.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including technical consultants, system configurators, data specialists, environmental SMEs, and client stakeholders.
- Drive issue resolution and maintain alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Solution Design & Implementation Oversight
- Guide solution design activities by aligning business requirements with platform capabilities.
- Provide implementation oversight for platforms such as Enablon, Intelex, VelocityEHS, and similar EHS solutions.
- Review and validate project deliverables to ensure quality, completeness, and alignment with business requirements.
- Support decision-making regarding system design, reporting, workflows, and compliance requirements.
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
- Lead discovery sessions, workshops, and stakeholder interviews.
- Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and reporting requirements.
- Translate business needs into structured functional specifications and implementation plans.
- Maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
Data, Reporting & Compliance
- Oversee data migration, integration, validation, and quality assurance activities.
- Ensure system outputs support environmental compliance, operational reporting, and regulatory requirements.
- Support implementation of reporting frameworks related to environmental performance, sustainability metrics, emissions reporting, and EHS compliance.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure reporting accuracy and integrity.
Testing, Training & User Adoption
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning and execution.
- Coordinate issue tracking, defect resolution, and testing sign-off activities.
- Develop and facilitate user training programs and knowledge transfer sessions.
- Support organizational change management and user adoption initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 7–12+ years of experience delivering EMIS, EHS software, or enterprise application implementations.
- Demonstrated experience managing full project lifecycles from requirements gathering through deployment and post-go-live support.
- Experience working with EHS platforms such as:
- Enablon (AQS, Metrics, Environmental modules)
- Intelex
- VelocityEHS
- Sphera
- Cority
- Similar enterprise EHS solutions
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Ability to translate business requirements into practical system solutions.
- Working knowledge of environmental compliance processes, particularly within air emissions management and reporting environments.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within Oil & Gas, Energy, Mining, Utilities, Chemicals, or other industrial sectors.
- Familiarity with Enablon AQS and Metrics modules.
- Experience delivering cloud-based enterprise software implementations.
- Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
- Professional certifications such as:
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
- Product Owner Certification
- Prosci Change Management Certification

Pay: $58,982.44-$135,087.22 per year
