Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dairy Farm Herdsperson to join our team. This role involves caring for dairy cattle and ensuring the smooth operation of the dairy farm. Your primary shift will be weekdays starting at 10am and finishing at around 6pm.
Duties
- Responsible for the daily care and management of dairy cattle
- Identify health issues and providing necessary treatment based on established protocols
- Assisting with breeding, calving, and milking operations
- Operating farm machinery for feeding and cleaning tasks
- Maintaining cleanliness in barns and milking robot rooms
- Assisting with general farm maintenance tasks
Requirements
- Experience working on a dairy farm is preferred
- Knowledge of farm machinery operations
- Mechanical aptitude for basic equipment maintenance
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks
- Strong work ethic and willingness to work in various weather conditions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
