The Position:
Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented seasonal Men’s Locker Room Attendant.
Reporting to the Men’s Locker Room Supervisor, this important position is responsible for assisting members and guests and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the Men’s Locker Room. The Men’s Locker Room team also assists in laundry and housekeeping operations. This position requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and a passion for providing a world-class atmosphere for our members. This position offers an immediate start with 5 shifts per week, scheduled Wednesday through Sunday, from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM (including a 30-minute break). Applicants must be available for flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays. This is a seasonal contract position ending on October 18, 2026.

Founded in 1911 when Vancouver was just 25 years old, Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club traces its history back to the earliest days of golf on the West Coast. First located on Canadian Pacific Railway lands, the Club moved in 1960 to the ancestral site of the Musqueam First Nation’s winter village. Shaughnessy has served as the proud host of many prestigious events and notable figures in golf and tennis over these 100+ years. Today’s Club features an award-winning clubhouse, highly ranked and competitive golf course, indoor and outdoor tennis, fitness and a golf performance center.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a high level of customer service to members and guests in the Men’s Locker Room, while supporting the Ladies’ Locker Room when necessary
- Prepare member and guest lockers as required
- Polish and clean shoes as required
- Communicate regularly with the Golf Shop and Administration regarding locker-related charges, updates and changes
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Men’s Locker Room, washrooms, and shower facilities, including deep cleaning tasks
- Change and replenish towels, and maintain sufficient supplies and toiletries in the restrooms and Men’s Locker Room
- Assist with cleaning duties in the Fitness Centre
- Ensure trash bins are emptied daily and additionally as required
- Assist with laundry-related duties as required
The Men’s Locker Room Attendant may be required to perform duties that are outside the above listed scope of work as assigned by any member of the management team.
Job Requirements:
- Previous hospitality experience is considered an asset, but is not required
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and follow instructions from supervisors
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to assist members and guests in a professional and courteous manner
- Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with members, guests and colleagues
- Security conscious and vigilant at all times
- Ability to perform duties in a safe and diligent manner
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
Compensation and Benefits:
