We’re looking for a dedicated Baker to join our kitchen team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on, from-scratch baking, working with fresh, local ingredients, and being part of a small, passionate crew.
Schedule: 16–24 hrs/week, some weekends required, shifts will be 5:00am–1:00pm
Hourly Rate: $18.00–$20.00 per hour + tips, based on experience
- Prepare and bake a variety of items from scratch, including breads, pastries, muffins, cookies, and other seasonal offerings
- Complete daily mise en place for baking production, including scaling ingredients, mixing doughs and batters, and preparing fillings or toppings
- Follow and execute recipes with consistency while adapting to seasonal ingredients and menu changes
- Monitor baking times, temperatures, and product quality to ensure consistency and presentation standards
- Package baked goods for retail and market sales, maintaining freshness and visual appeal
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and uphold all food safety, sanitation, and storage practices
- Support the kitchen team as needed, including light prep, dishwashing and shared closing tasks
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow directions and written recipes accurately
- Basic baking knowledge and familiarity with common techniques (mixing, proofing, shaping, etc.)
- Understanding of safe food handling and storage practices
- 1–2 years of baking or kitchen experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- A passion for local food and sustainable practices
- Comfort working both independently and as part of a small, dedicated team
- Experience with high-volume or batch baking
