Please note Camp Yeladim 2026 will run from August 4 - August 28, 26, with hours 8:30 am - 4:30 pm each weekday. The week of 27-31, 2026 will be a prep week with prep hours included in the contract.
The Lead Camp Counselor and Camp Counselor will: (in all cases with overall responsibility to the Lead Camp Counselor):
· Develop effective written program plans, including games, crafts, field trips, and special events for the program, with overall responsibility to the lead camp counselor.
· Assure that equipment and facilities are safely and properly prepared and maintained for use by program participants and staff.
· Work with Program Director to recruit needed volunteers and contract service employees (e.g., special guests such as musicians, magicians, etc).
· Supervise day-to-day operation of Camp Yeladim, ages 4-11.
· Serve as main staff contact for parents at camp.
· Supervise, coach and mentor the camp counselor as well as the student volunteers.
· Prepare weekly communication with parents of upcoming events.
· Make sure that all necessary craft supplies are purchased and ready.
· In co-ordination with the Program Director develop menus, shop and prepare food for all lunches and snacks for campers and volunteers.
· Assist with the evaluation of the program.
· Prepare oral and written reports on all aspects of the camp as assigned including but not limited to injury and incident reports.
· Other duties may be assigned as required.
