Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support for the implementation, maintenance, event planning, and execution of training and development programs and strategies, particularly in the Ontario region.
- Coordinate the logistics of training programs, including determining the location where training will be delivered, communicating with hotel representatives, and handling reservations for accommodation.
- Participate in the preparation of course schedules and communicate them within the regions, provide instructions for participation and confirm registrations in collaboration with regional offices.
- Liaise with internal and external organizers for courses, conferences and training activities.
- Design course evaluations and distribute them to participants for feedback.
- Produce routine and ad hoc reports in a timely and accurate manner
- Approve training and development expenditures, validate general ledger codes and resolve irregularities.
- Establish and maintain an effective channel for communication and transmission of information with other departments, regional offices, content experts and external service providers.
- Provide administrative support to the Learning & Development team as required.
- Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve Learning & Development team processes and procedures
Skills and Experience
- 1 to 2 years of experience in an Administrative Assistant role
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent business communication skills, attention to detail and great organizational skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage multiple requests and priorities at once
- Ability to excel both individually and as a team
- Experience in the professional services sector, an asset
- Experience in coordinating training and development programs as well as logistics administration is considered an asset
- Experience with Learning management systems is considered an asset
- Experience in event planning is considered an asset
