Job Summary

This position presents customers with their first impression of the company; answering phones and greeting walk in customers; so maintaining a positive attitude and presenting the company in a professional manner is first priority. This person will facilitate customer requests; reservations, contracts, deliveries and pickups, rental returns, and sales orders. With this being a shared position, another person working on the opposite shift, with a bit of cross-over, communication is crucial. Being organized and communicating with co-workers and customers the status of tasks and requests is imminent to the smooth running of the business.

Along with maintaining customer service on the front end, this position provides variety with inventory control tasks as well. Inventory Control consists of; efficiently addressing incoming items and distributing them to the requested parties, maintaining a clean and organized store front (re-arranging items, when needed as season’s change), and assisting with maintaining the status of our fleet. As this is a multifaceted position in a small team environment, the following are key attributes for the position, with knowledge of a variety of equipment being an asset.

As a small team you may be requested to complete other duties as necessary as well as work together as a team to ensure clean and professional working conditions, and a safe working environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • answer phones/check messages
  • take equipment reservations and maintain current reservation list
  • arrange and communicate equipment deliveries and pick ups
  • ensure requested equipment is available and source from other suppliers, if necessary
  • complete rental contracts and invoices
  • ensure equipment inspections are completed when equipment is returned
  • help customer load and unload equipment, if necessary
  • manage work orders when required for parts/repairs
  • responsible for communicating effectively with the shop regarding equipment that is coming in and going out
  • oversee annual fleet inspections and maintain current paperwork for it
  • manage ordering of parts and supplies as needed
  • manage and maintain cleanliness and organization of show room
  • ensure pricing and bar codes are up to date
  • ensure yard and lawn are maintained (mowing, plowing, etc)
  • perform miscellaneous projects as required from time to time

Position

  • Two week rotating work schedule
  • week 1 Monday - Wednesday
  • week 2 Wednesday – Saturday
  • Full Time – Seasonal (with potential for permanent)
