Alcon Contracting is a growing logging and land clearing company operating throughout Central Alberta and the western regions of the province. We specialize in private land logging, selective harvesting, land clearing, equipment hauling, and forestry services.
We are looking for a dependable individual with a Class 1 Driver's Licence who wants more than just a driving job. This position offers the opportunity to be involved in trucking, self-loading log hauling, equipment operation, maintenance, and field operations.

Responsibilities
Duties may include:
- Operating Class 1 trucks and hauling logs, equipment, and materials
- Operating a self-loading log truck
- Loading and unloading logs and materials using the truck-mounted loader
- Assisting with logging and land clearing operations
- Operating forestry and heavy equipment when required
- Daily equipment inspections and preventative maintenance
- Greasing, fueling, and servicing equipment
- Replacing hydraulic hoses and performing minor repairs
- Assisting with equipment moves and job site setup
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Working safely and efficiently in remote job sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 Driver's Licence
- Clean driver's abstract
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Reliable and punctual
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Mechanically inclined and willing to learn
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Willingness to travel and work in remote locations throughout Alberta
- Experience with self-loaders, logging, trucking, forestry, or heavy equipment is considered an asset .

This is a hands-on position. Some days you may be hauling logs with the self-loader, some days moving equipment, some days assisting with repairs, and other days supporting logging or land clearing operations in the field.

Work Environment
Our projects are often located in rural and remote areas, primarily throughout Central Alberta and the western side of the province. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors, travelling to job sites, and operating safely in forestry and resource industry environments.
