Role Overview
We are currently seeking 310S Licensed Automotive Service Technicians and Registered 310S Automotive Apprentices (Level 1–4) to join a busy and professional automotive repair facility in Barrie, Ontario.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced licensed technicians seeking competitive compensation and long-term stability, as well as apprentices looking to develop their skills and advance their careers under the guidance of experienced technicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using modern diagnostic equipment.
- Service and repair engine, transmission, suspension, steering, braking, HVAC, and electrical systems.
- Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire services, alignments, and fluid replacements.
- Mount, balance, repair, and install tires and wheels.
- Conduct road tests when required.
- Complete repair orders accurately and maintain proper service records.
- Follow manufacturer repair procedures and workplace safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Work collaboratively with service advisors and other technicians to ensure quality repairs and customer satisfaction.
- Apprentices: Work closely with licensed 310S technicians while gaining hands-on experience and progressing through the apprenticeship program.
Qualifications
For 310S Licensed Technicians
- Valid Ontario 310S Automotive Service Technician Licence.
- Strong automotive diagnostic and repair experience.
- Dealership or independent automotive repair experience is an asset.
- Valid Ontario G Driver’s Licence.
- Own professional automotive tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
For 310S Apprentices
- Registered 310S Automotive Apprentice with Skilled Trades Ontario, Level 1–4.
- Basic knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair.
- Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
- Valid Ontario G or G2 Driver’s Licence is an asset.
- Own basic tools or willingness to build a professional tool set.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working on domestic and import vehicles.
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostic scan tools and repair procedures.
- Familiarity with CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Protractor, or similar automotive software is an asset.
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
