Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience operating press brake machines. This role involves interpreting blueprints, setting up machinery, and ensuring the production of high-quality metal components. The Press Brake Operator will work closely with other team members to meet production goals while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
· Setup and document tooling and safe practices for Press Brake operations
· Verify accuracy of machine settings to confirm accurate tolerances and machine functions.
· Operators will be required to maintain accurate parts and motivation on routine repetitive jobs.
· During operations Operator will be required to maintain cleanliness of the machine and workspace.
· In process checks will be required by the operator to maintain all required tolerances and quality.
· Completes all required safety procedures prior to and during operations.
· Communicates all production related items to next shift operators or shift supervisors.
· Responsible for operation, proving programs, operating controls, setting all machine functions, deburring and inspection of parts to assure conformance will be required.
· Must be able to work from drawings and sketches, read and understand manuals/specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished products, sequence of operations and set up requirements.
· Ability to calculate, blank sizes, bend locations, appropriate tonnage and tooling for each part being formed
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, CNC machines, milling machines, and other fabrication equipment.
- Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as blueprints and schematics.
- Experience with welding is a plus but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
