Job Summary
Hutcheson Sand & Mixes is looking to add a SEASONAL Equipment Operator/Labourer to its team!
Purpose: To efficiently and safely operate various pieces of equipment and perform general labouring duties. You will be required to deliver to and take away from the screening plants.
The operator will also be required to do some general laboring dues incl; manually moving of materials, supplies, cleaning, fueling and degreasing of machinery, assisting in screen, belt or other part changes as required, etc.
Responsibilities and Duties
Responsibilities:
· Maintain safe work area
· Operate various pieces of heavy equipment productively within the machine's rated capabilities
· Follow instructions and be willing to take on various assigned job tasks
· Lock out machine when cleaning and performing maintenance.
· Wear and maintain PPE per Company policy.
· Reliable team player
Duties include but will not limited to:
· Perform pre-start checks each morning and complete inspection reports
· Various equipment use may include haul truck, front end loader, skidsteer, excavator, etc.
· Stacking material safely in designated piles/areas
· Perform daily clean-up of machine and surrounding area
· Perform weekly maintenance as detailed in the equipment manual.
· Report any safety hazards or machine deficiencies.
· Other duties as assigned
