About the Role
We are looking for a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our specialty pharmacy team in Oakville.
The successful candidate will work closely with pharmacists, pharmacy staff, patients, clinics, and Patient Support Programs (PSPs) to support the safe and efficient processing and dispensing of specialty medications.

Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process prescriptions accurately using Kroll Pharmacy Management Software
- Perform technical duties within the scope of practice of a Registered Pharmacy Technician
- Complete technical checks of prescriptions in accordance with Ontario College of Pharmacists standards and pharmacy policies
- Process third-party insurance claims and assist with resolving billing or adjudication issues
- Prepare, fill, package, and label prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Coordinate prescription refills and follow up on outstanding prescriptions or information as required
- Communicate with patients regarding prescription status, refills, deliveries, and other non-clinical inquiries
- Communicate with physician offices, clinics, nurses, and Patient Support Programs to obtain required prescription or patient information
- Coordinate medication deliveries and ensure prescriptions are prepared according to scheduled delivery dates
- Support the handling, packaging, and documentation of cold-chain and specialty medications
- Maintain accurate patient profiles, documentation, and pharmacy records
- Manage inventory, including receiving orders, monitoring stock levels, expiry management, and ordering medications and supplies
- Identify prescription discrepancies or concerns and escalate clinical matters to the pharmacist when appropriate
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with applicable pharmacy regulations, policies, and privacy requirements
- Work collaboratively with pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, and other team members to maintain an organized and efficient workflow
- Assist with other pharmacy operations as required
Qualifications
- Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) – required
- Experience using Kroll Pharmacy Management Software – required
- Previous pharmacy experience is an asset; however, new graduates are welcome to apply
- Experience in specialty pharmacy is an asset but not required
- Knowledge of third-party insurance billing and adjudication is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable communicating with patients and healthcare professionals by telephone and email
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Able to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, professional, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday to Friday
- 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
