UFD is a premier wholesaler of potted plants and cut flowers located in Fenwick Ontario. Since 1993 UFD has been delivering product throughout Ontario, and North Eastern United States. We are looking to hire a 310T diesel mechanic to service our fleet of refrigerated straight trucks and sprinters. This is a great opportunity to enjoy a steady wage with great benefits.
Responsibilities and requirements
- Determine and access vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts
- Performing routine maintenance and conducting preventative maintenance so trucks have minimal down time during runs
- Able to repair, overhaul and maintain all mechanical components of our commercial fleet. Our fleet is made up of mostly Freightliner straight trucks, and Mercedes Sprinters
- Able to diagnoses, inspect and repair diesel internal combustion engines
- Be able to work as team player with the rest of our logistics department
- Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness of shop
- Write accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles
- 310T mechanic license or equivalent required
