Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated Carpenter Apprentice to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll work closely with our lead hand or foreman to support framing and metal cladding projects, maintain a clean and organized worksite, and ensure tools and equipment are ready for use. If you’re eager to learn, comfortable with physical work, and have a passion for building, this is a great opportunity to grow your skills and career.
Responsibilities
- Follow direction from the lead hand or foreman
- Assist with framing, cladding, and assembly of structural components
- Perform heavy lifting and use power tools safely and effectively
- Maintain a clean, organized site and equipment trailers
- Work with a variety of materials including wood, metal, and concrete
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to a high standard
- Bring a positive, “can-do” attitude and willingness to learn every day
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of carpentry or framing experience preferred
- Physically able to lift heavy objects and perform labour-intensive tasks
- Basic knowledge of power tools and their safe operation
- Experience with metal cladding is an asset (training available)
- Comfort working around heavy equipment is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Punctual, reliable, and dependable team player
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
- Must be able to occasionally travel out of town Monday–Friday (hotel and LOA provided); daily transportation to our SE Calgary meeting point
- Weekends as required
