Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Runner to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring timely delivery of food orders from the kitchen to guests, maintaining a high standard of service and cleanliness. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in the food service industry, hospitality, and customer service. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated candidates. The Food Runner will work closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to create a seamless dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Deliver prepared food orders from the kitchen to tables promptly and accurately
- Assist servers by refilling beverages and ensuring guest needs are met efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including clearing and resetting tables as needed
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding special requests or dietary restrictions
- Ensure food handling procedures adhere to safety and sanitation standards
- Support the team during busy periods by assisting with cleaning and organization tasks
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food handling, serving techniques, and restaurant operations is advantageous
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with guests and team members
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with cleaning and maintaining cleanliness standards in a food or hotel setting is beneficial
- A positive attitude, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work well as part of a team are essential for success in this role
