Job Title: Computer Support Specialist
Job Description:We are seeking a dedicated Computer Support Specialist to join our team at Lakecrest Independent School. In this role, you will provide technical support to students, teachers, and staff, ensuring smooth operation of our computer systems and educational technology.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Assist with classroom technology setup and support.
- Maintain and update computer systems and devices including chromebooks, Windows laptops and Macbooks.
- Support the implementation of educational software and tools.
- Provide training and guidance to staff and students on technology use.
- Maintain the buildfire powered mobile application and manage both it’s ios and android versions
- Maintain the domains owned by the school
- Assist the staff with report card generation and any school-related technical needs
- Assist the staff with managing the printers and related technologies
- Maintain local File Server and Remote Wordpress Website
Qualifications:
- Experience in IT support, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
- Familiarity with educational technology is a plus.
- Experience with Google Workspace for Education
- Experience with domain management
- Experience with Wordpress
- Experience with Debian Linux / KVM Virtualization Software
- Experience with ChromeOS / Windows/ MacOS
- Experience in managing a buildfire mobile app is a bonus
