Resting Paws is a compassionate, heart-centered in-home euthanasia and pet hospice service supporting families through one of the most tender moments of their lives. Our work is grounded in gentleness, presence, and deep respect for the human–animal bond.
We are currently seeking a part-time veterinarian to join our growing team.
This role is ideal for a veterinarian who feels called to end-of-life care and values emotional connection, calm, and presence alongside clinical skill.
You and your veterinary technician will provide peaceful, in-home euthanasia services, supporting pets and their families with compassion, patience, and professionalism.
This is a flexible independent contractor position.

Responsibilities and Skills
- Travel to the homes of our patients to perform peaceful end-of-life care
- Possess strong emotional intelligence and are calm, grounded, and client-centered
- MUST have a valid Driver's license and be comfortable driving within the city and surrounding areas
- Must be comfortable lifting patients (with assistance)
- Must work well with others
- Available weekdays and some weekends
- Have a gentle, compassionate approach and feel comfortable supporting grieving families
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
- Valid veterinary and driver's licenses in the province of British Columbia
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients who are experiencing loss and grief
