Job Summary:
The Outside Sales & Promotions Executive is responsible for driving group ticket sales by liaising with community social groups, tourism agencies, convention centres, hotels, travel agencies, and membership ticket programs. This role aims to promote Alberta Ballet's performances and achieve a sales target of $300,000.
Key Responsibilities
Community Engagement:

Develop and maintain relationships with community social groups.

Coordinate presentations by artistic staff to social groups to generate interest and drive group ticket sales.

Identify and pursue new opportunities for community engagement and sales growth.
Tourism and Hospitality Collaboration:

Liaise with municipal and provincial tourism agencies to create and promote group ticket packages.

Work with convention centres, hotels, hotel associations, and travel agencies to provide sales opportunities for visitors.

Develop and implement strategies to attract tourists and out-of-town visitors to Alberta Ballet performances.
Membership Ticket Programs:

Promote and manage membership ticket programs with companies like AMEX, AMA, and other similar organizations.

Develop partnerships and offer exclusive deals to members of these programs to increase ticket sales.

Identify and pursue additional membership program opportunities to expand sales channels.
Sales Strategy and Execution:

Create and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve the $300,000 sales target.

Track and analyze sales performance, adjusting strategies as needed to meet targets.

Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipelines, and results.
Customer Relationship Management:

Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and customer interactions.

Provide exceptional customer service to group ticket buyers, ensuring a positive experience.

Follow up with clients to maintain relationships and encourage repeat business.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Hospitality, or a related field.

Proven experience in sales, preferably in the arts, entertainment, or hospitality industry.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.

Excellent organizational and project management skills.

Proactive and self-motivated with a proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.

Proficiency in CRM system and Office365.

Passion for the arts and a deep understanding of ballet is a plus.
Working Conditions:

Office environment with occasional evening and weekend hours for events and presentations.

Travel may be required for meetings with community groups, tourism agencies, and other partners.

The successful candidate will be required to complete a police background check as a condition of employment.
