Why is this role important?
The Master Data Analyst role is responsible for ensuring that all data across one or more data objects are setup and maintained with high quality. The MD Analyst will work closely with teams across the business to support the creation and ongoing maintenance of master data and ensure guidelines and policies are adhered to.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Ensure timely and accurate execution of all requests received for the creation and maintenance of master data including enrichment of data, as required.
Validate that the appropriate updates are applied consistently across all systems.
Assist in the preparation of data files, as required
Assist and participate in system testing of data loads and/or application changes related to master data, as required
Communicate updates and raise concerns in a timely manner
Assist in updating job aids and any documentation, as required
Provide assistance and backup duties to cover workload affecting the team
Collaborate with various contacts throughout the business to ensure timely resolution of all inquiries
Maintain a positive and productive relationship with colleagues in all areas of the business
The candidates should possess the following skills:
Strong analytical skills and highly organized
Excellent problem-solving skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Must be adaptable, and able to learn new systems
Must possess technical skills and/or strong technical aptitude
Ability to work on specific timelines and dependencies
Candidate must be able to troubleshoot and identify root cause of issues
Experience with SAP, Python, SQL and Visual Basic would be an asset
