Opportunity: Class 1 Operator
Schedule: 4 x 10+ / 6 & 1 / 11 & 3 / 10 or 12 hour shifts / days & nights

Opportunity Description:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with safety legislation and National Safety Code (NSC) requirements
- Follow corporate safety program and maintenance program
- Pre/ post trip inspections
- Complete daily log/time records as required
- Full knowledgeable of company’s safety and maintenance program
- Conducts/and documents thorough trip inspections
- Immediately report any defect with the equipment
- Cleans equipment as required
- Works together with the on-site Safety Advisor to ensure compliance with company and client HSE policies
- General operational duties required to ensure smooth operation of business unit. (ie: transportation of freight, units or equipment)
- Ensure material is secured to the trailer using tie down straps or chains
- Make sure the vehicle is fueled and cleaned at the end of shift
- Expediting material and parts around and between the sites
- Perform light maintenance when necessary (greasing, changing lights, tire pressure)
Job Requirements:
- Must send a copy of your 5 year commercial driver’s abstract with your resume. Your abstract must meet our insurance requirements.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class 1 Driver’s License with a clean 5 year commercial driver’s abstract
- Must have Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience operating large commercial vehicles;
- Syncrude Site experience as a driver is considered an asset
- Self-motivated, reliable, flexible, and proactive with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated history of safety excellence
- Ticketed Forklift or Skid steer operator
- Load securement course would be considered an asset
