Retaining Wall Installer / Laborers
Job Overview
We are seeking motivated and dependable Retaining Wall Installers and Laborers to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with the installation of retaining walls, performing various manual tasks, and supporting overall construction projects. Ideal candidates will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and experience or interest in construction-related skills. This position offers an opportunity to develop hands-on expertise in masonry, carpentry, and general construction techniques in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of retaining walls according to project plans and schematics
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Prepare work sites by clearing debris, setting forms, and mixing materials such as concrete
- Perform concrete forming, finishing, and caulking tasks as needed
- Support masonry activities including tile laying, concrete finishing, and masonry repairs
- Assist with carpentry tasks such as framing, cabinet installation, or framing adjustments
- Use construction estimating skills to assist in project planning and material management
- Support plumbing or electrical work if required for specialized projects
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion
Qualifications
- Prior experience in construction or masonry is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic heavy equipment operation
- Knowledge of concrete forming, finishing techniques, and masonry work is a plus
- Familiarity with construction estimating, carpentry, caulking, restoration, or flooring installation is advantageous
- Experience with tile laying, plumbing, welding, electrical work, or cabinetry is beneficial but not mandatory
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
- Excellent teamwork skills and attention to safety standards
- Valid <PERSON> (if applicable) or relevant certifications are a plus but not required
