Overview
We are seeking an experienced Concrete Form Setter Foreman to lead and oversee concrete form setting operations on construction sites. This role requires a strong background in construction management, blueprint reading, and quality control. The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience and proficiency with leading a construction crew, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to high standards. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects while demonstrating leadership and technical expertise in concrete form setting.
Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of concrete form setters, ensuring safety protocols and project timelines are met
- Set and verify forms for sidewalks, curbs, gutters, wheelchair ramps, swales, and related concrete structures
- Read and interpret blueprints, grade sheets, and grade stakes to accurately set forms according to specifications
- Oversee quality control measures to ensure forms are installed correctly and meet structural standards
- Ensure all work meets municipal specifications and project requirements
- Train team members on best practices, safety procedures, and proper use of tools and equipment
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies throughout all operations
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in concrete construction
- Previous experience leading and managing concrete crews
- Strong knowledge of City of Calgary concrete specifications
- Must be proficient in reading blueprints, grades, and construction drawings
- Experience setting forms for curb, gutter, sidewalk, and related concrete work
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Valid driver’s license and a clean drivers abstract
