Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Kitchen Helper and Dishwasher to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment to support our culinary operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, uphold food safety standards, and work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
Duties
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment
- Assist with basic meal preparation and food handling under supervision
- Support kitchen staff with food prep tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas throughout the shift
- Ensure proper storage of food items in accordance with safety guidelines
- Follow all food safety and sanitation protocols to uphold health standards
- Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures to keep the kitchen tidy
Skills
- Experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food handling and safety procedures
- Ability to perform basic meal preparation and food prep tasks
- Strong attention to cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Willingness to learn about kitchen operations and food safety practices
- Prior experience in the food industry or kitchen experience is a plus but not mandatory
