The Corix team has an opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst. The Senior Financial Analyst plays a pivotal role in driving the companys growth initiatives under the direction of the Chief Growth Officer. This position is integral to the business development process, encompassing various aspects such as screening and planning, financial modeling, market analysis, and strategic investment initiatives. Primarily responsible for developing, building, and maintaining complex financial models, the Senior Financial Analyst also supports project development processes, including RFQ/RFEOI/RFP development and presentations, due diligence/feasibility studies, project agreement negotiation and execution, and regulatory filings. This role significantly impacts the long-term success of the organization by supporting strategic decision-making and identifying growth opportunities.
Compensation
$88,000-$120,000 annually

What You Do:

Lead and support various business development and corporate strategic projects, collaborating with cross-functional business teams and communicating key insights and progress to Senior Management and the Executive Leadership Team.

Develop, review, and maintain financial models and forecasts to support investment decisions, corporate planning, and regulatory filings.

Conduct thorough market research, competitive analysis, and risk assessment to identify and evaluate growth opportunities and strategic initiatives.

Support the formulation and execution of the companys strategic vision and long-term priorities through detailed quantitative analysis and strategic insights.

Participate in negotiations, working with business development, legal, finance, and other key stakeholders to finalize formal agreements and assess requirements.

Engage in feasibility studies, due diligence activities, and integration planning/execution.

Review and update financial forecasts for infrastructure projects and concession agreements to ensure contract compliance.

Prepare and maintain valuation models in support of fair value, goodwill, and impairment analysis, as well as regulatory applications.

Lead or support project management activities, including coordinating, scheduling, and tracking the progress of projects and reporting results.

Provide analytical support for the companys portfolio of strategic opportunities and growth initiatives.

Perform other related duties as required.
What You Bring:

Bachelors degree in finance, Commerce, Economics or Business Administration, or related field.

3-5 years of relevant financial modelling and deal experience.

Preferred professional designations (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA, CFA or CBV).

Previous utility or energy sector experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Expertise in developing detailed financial models (DCF,LBO, valuation, cash flow, and comparables).
- Strong analytical skills for strategic planning, investment evaluation, and financial forecasting.
- Understanding of financial reporting standards, taxation, and regulatory requirements

Proven ability to manage multiple projects. Prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver high-quality work within tight timelines.
- Strong ability to communicate complex financial concepts and interact with internal and external stakeholders.

Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Sharepoint; ability to learn internal software programs.
