Overview
We are seeking a talented and personable Barber/Stylist to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing exceptional hair cutting, styling, and grooming services to clients while delivering outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hairstyling, strong communication skills, and a professional appearance. Experience in retail sales and front desk operations is a plus, as the role also involves client interactions beyond styling. Duties
- Perform haircuts, styling, coloring, and grooming services tailored to individual client preferences
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas and tools
- Provide excellent customer service by understanding client needs and offering professional recommendations
- Upsell retail hair care products and additional services to enhance client experience and satisfaction
- Manage front desk responsibilities including scheduling appointments, greeting clients, and handling payments
- Communicate effectively with clients to ensure their expectations are met or exceeded
- Build lasting relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals
- Stay current with industry trends and techniques through ongoing education and training
Experience
- Proven experience as a barber or stylist with a strong portfolio of work
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety protocols in a salon environment
- Ability to upsell products and services in a friendly, non-intrusive manner
- Experience managing retail sales or front desk operations is advantageous
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment preferred but not required; training will be provided for new team members
