Location: Tweedsmuir Park Lodge, Remote (shift work)
Schedule: 14 days on, 14 days off (approximately), 10hrs/ a day
Terms: Seasonal Full-Time (July-October)

We provide world-class skiing in the winter and connect our guests with incredible wilderness adventures in the summer. Our summer operation at Tweedsmuir Park Lodge welcomes travellers to the Great Bear Rainforest, offering an all-inclusive wilderness experience with guided adventures such as river drifts, alpine hikes, cultural experiences, and exceptional wildlife viewing. The on-site Split Rock Restaurant also serves both lodge guests and walk-in visitors, featuring locally inspired cuisine with much of its produce sourced from nearby farms.
Job Description
At Bella Coola Heli Sports, the Receptionist is more than just a front-desk role—they shape the first and last impression of our lodge experience, acting as the welcoming voice and calming presence that guides guests during their lodge and restaurant visit.
Working closely with our dynamic teams across guiding, kitchen, housekeeping, and operations, the Receptionist supports seamless communication, attentive guest care, and organized lodge flow. This role is both guest-facing and behind the scenes, requiring emotional intelligence, organization, and a deep understanding of what it means to embody authentic hospitality.
Receptionists at BCHS are empowered to offer warm, professional service while remaining flexible and responsive to the needs of both guests and staff. The Receptionist also provides sound administrative support to the lodge manager regarding inventory management and guest billing. They are also responsible for being on the radio during the day and acting as dispatch to the guides. They are trusted brand ambassadors who exude competence, positivity, patience, and genuine care, helping shape a welcoming environment where guests feel well taken care of, informed, and touched by the unwavering passion of our team.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Guest Experience and Front Desk Service:
- Provide thoughtful and accurate information about lodge offerings, wilderness activities, and the local area.
- Support guests with logistics, travel coordination, and any special requests.
- Conduct guest check-ins and check-outs, ensuring each experience feels personal and seamless.
- Manage restaurant seating and welcome dining guests during meal services.
Operational Communication:
- Act as a central communication hub, providing updates between the kitchen, guides, guest services, and housekeeping.
- Work closely with the Guide Manager to manage and update the guests' daily activity schedules.
- Keep track of guest preferences, dietary needs, medical information, and activity schedules—and share promptly and accurately.
- Maintain a consistent radio presence throughout the day as a key dispatch role for guide and field updates.
Administrative Support:
- Conduct the start of the day cash out and the daily reconciliation reports
- Manage and enter Webrez and Lightspeed guests' charges and check guests in and out efficiently.
- File waivers and guests' medical forms
Retail Shop:
- Neaten merchandise in the gift shop and update pricing as needed
- Conduct monthly inventory counts in the retail shop and the storage spaces
Lodge Presentation and Facility Upkeep:
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and order across all guest spaces, lodge common areas, and service areas.
- Upkeeping the Main Lodge area - mopping, sweeping and vacuuming; dusting and washing surfaces; cleaning guests and staff washrooms
- Laundry - collecting service napkins, polishing and kitchen rags and keeping up with their washing and restocking, helping with both linens and guest laundry
Operational Support and Team Collaboration:
- Work as part of a cohesive team—communicating needs, offering assistance, and maintaining shared responsibilities.
- Follow daily schedules with flexibility, understanding that roles often overlap in a small, dynamic lodge environment.
Qualifications
A Must
- 1yr+ experience in a hospitality position (front desk, concierge or similar)
- Articulate and personable demeanor
- Highly motivated and enjoy working in a fast paced environment
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work away from home and work long hours on your feet
- Applicants must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
Preferred
- Experience in the remote lodge industry
- Serving, bartending, or housekeeping experience
- Enthusiasm for the outdoors
