Job Title: Building Engineer/Operator
The primary responsibilities of the Building Engineer/Operator for site in Downtown Kelowna area:
- Overseeing Building's preventative maintenance and unscheduled repairs of HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, lighting, electrical, elevating devices, life safety systems, parkade and roof;
- Conducted regular meetings with Janitorial contractors to ensure work is being completed in accordance with company’s policies and standards.·
- Responsible for implementing company's policies and maintaining Building(s) according to the current provincial fire and building codes
- Management of energy and utility consumption;
- Conduct environmental assessments and reporting;
- Implementing the corporate occupational health and safety program;
- Management of waste, recycling and hazardous materials;
- Oversee computerized control systems;
- Assist with the management of Tenant improvement construction when required;
- Ensure sound curtain wall, structural and roof maintenance;
- Responsibilities to ensure team completes tenant service requests to the satisfaction of management and the tenants;
· Responsible for ensuring that seasonal third-party contractors (landscaping, snow removing, parking lot maintenance etc.) were ready to provide services within appropriate timing.
· Invite third-party contractors for RFP and oversee renovations and constructions work.
· Responsible for risk management and annual health & safety audit for the Building(s).
- Assist with building component life cycles and costs;
- Conduct insurance and risk management inspections, remedial actions and reporting;
- Assist in the preparation of annual operations and capital project budgeting;
- Provide technical or administrative advice to internal and external clients;
- Assist operation with field duties as required;
- Other assigned duties;
