We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for automotive repair. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. This role requires proficiency in using various hand tools and power tools, as well as the ability to read and interpret schematics.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues using advanced diagnostic equipment
- Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
- Repair or replace faulty parts including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems
- Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as necessary
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating repair needs and recommendations clearly
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members to improve service efficiency and quality
Skills
- Proficient in automotive repair with hands-on experience in a dealership or independent shop setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex systems and schematics
- Experience with welding techniques is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients
- Ability to work with various hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
