The Cloud Engineer is responsible for supporting, monitoring and tooling of Cloud deployments. The Cloud Engineer works closely with the Development and QA teams to produce reliable and secure production infrastructures and operate multiple environments in the software development process.
Required Skills:
- Collaborate with team members to achieve successful continuous delivery solutions
- Build, maintain environments in Cloud using Terraform and Kubernetes
- Design and develop scalable tools and applications
- Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis of production system
- Triage and debug any issues that arise during testing and production
- Automate testing across CI/CD and cloud infrastructure management
- Monitor applications to ensure system health
- Quality assurance of infrastructure to ensure security, reliability, and scalability
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs to support integrations
- Work with internal customers (Development, QA, Implementation, and others) to support deployments
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Two to three years of Cloud experience
- Proficient in AWS and other Cloud Technologies
- Proficient in Terraform
- Experience working with Kubernetes
- Knowledge of Node.JS and Microservices
- In-depth knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
- Knowledge on relational and non-relational databases
This role will not have any supervisory requirements.
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.
This role requires extended periods of sitting or standing at a computer workstation.
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, during normal business hours. This position will also participate in on-call rotation which will be 2 weeks of primary and 2 weeks of secondary. This is offering 24/7 support for the platform during these rotations. Typically, this is 4 out of every 8 weeks.
Travel requirement is less than 5%, and may vary based on business needs.
