Position Overview
The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, strong financial performance, and a positive team culture. The successful candidate will act as the bridge between ownership, culinary leadership, and front-of-house operations while maintaining the highest standards expected of a Michelin-level establishment.
This is a leadership role requiring operational expertise, emotional intelligence, business acumen, and a genuine passion for hospitality.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Development
- Recruit, train, mentor, and develop front-of-house management and service teams
- Foster a positive, professional, and performance-driven culture
- Conduct regular team meetings, coaching sessions, and performance evaluations
- Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Guest Experience
- Ensure every guest receives exceptional and personalized hospitality
- Handle VIP guests, guest recovery situations, and service escalations professionally
- Maintain Michelin-level service standards throughout all guest touchpoints
- Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements where necessary
Financial Management
- Manage labour costs, operating expenses, and departmental budgets
- Drive revenue growth through strategic initiatives and service excellence
- Analyze financial reports and key performance indicators
- Work closely with ownership to achieve operational and financial goals
Operations Management
- Oversee daily restaurant operations and service execution
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, licensing, and regulatory requirements
- Monitor inventory controls and operational efficiencies
- Develop and maintain SOPs for all departments
Wine & Beverage Program Support
- Collaborate with the Sommelier and Beverage Team to maximize beverage sales
- Support wine, cocktail, and guest experience initiatives
- Understand premium wine and luxury beverage service standards
Brand & Community Representation
- Represent Enigma professionally within the hospitality industry
- Support media events, partnerships, and special guest experiences
- Act as an ambassador for the Enigma brand and culture
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 5 years of senior management experience in fine dining, luxury hospitality, or Michelin-starred restaurants
- Proven leadership experience managing teams of 20+ employees
- Strong understanding of restaurant financial management and cost controls
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure environments
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Preferred
- Michelin-starred restaurant experience
- Luxury hotel or Relais & Châteaux background
- WSET certification or advanced wine knowledge
- Experience with OpenTable and restaurant management systems
- Experience leading award-winning hospitality teams

Pay: $65,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
