On behalf of BCI’s clients, the Infrastructure & Renewable Resources team invests globally in companies that offer exposure to infrastructure assets that provide stable long-term results with minimal substitution risk. These include investments in sectors such as water, electricity, gas, and transport infrastructure as well as tangible assets in the natural resources space such as timberland and agriculture. The team invests in a variety of capacities including as a sole sponsor, co-sponsor, or co-investor and very selectively through externally managed funds. In these capacities, the team seeks to take an active oversight role built on a foundation of trusted relationships with all stakeholders and a commitment to long-term value creation.
The Analyst (Renewable Resources) is a member of the group investment team and assists in conducting the due diligence and analysis of potential renewable resources investment opportunities with a focus on agriculture, the negotiations and structuring of transactions, and the monitoring of existing portfolio investments. The Analyst plays a key role in supporting the investment activities of the department. The Analyst has a strong understanding of private markets/renewable resource investing and corporate finance principles. The Analyst also supports international opportunity sets (i.e., emerging markets and global resource assets) and provides a global perspective and outlook. Above all else, the Analyst brings a long-term value investing mindset with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Undergraduate university degree and/or MBA with emphasis on finance and investment analysis
Completion of or be working towards completion of a relevant professional designation (e.g., CFA, CBV, LLB, or recognized accounting designation)
Strong understanding of private markets investing and a sound understanding of corporate finance principles
2 to 4 years’ experience within a leading private equity/asset management firm, corporation, investment bank or M&A transaction team
Strong financial analysis and valuation skills

Assist in the valuation of funds, companies and securities
Travel, when required, for due diligence or oversight of investments
