Organizational Context and Background
Global Procurement (GP) provides procurement services to both KPMG International (KPMGI) and to member firms in situations where goods and/or services are being procured for multiple member firms.
Global Procurement focuses on driving a competitive commercial edge in contractual arrangements with KPMG’s suppliers while simultaneously managing reputational, commercial and contractual risk including:
Leading the KPMG Procurement Leadership Forum, consisting of the US, UK, Germany, Netherlands, Australia, Italy, Spain, France, India, Canada, Brazil and KPMG International, in collectively defining and deploying best practices in procurement policies, processes, frameworks and toolkits
Aggregating the demand of planned purchases of goods and services across the network (KPMGI and member firms) and leveraging this scale to negotiate competitive contracts with third parties
Providing strategic sourcing services to key functional groups in KPMGI (e.g., Global IT Services, Global L&D, Global Collaboration & Knowledge, Global PPC, Global Marketing & Communications), in partnership with the International Office of General Counsel (IOGC), Information Protection Group, Independence, Information Security, to enter into contractual relationships with third parties

The Supplier Operations Manager (Software) reports into a Senior Manager within the Software Procurement Category team.
Global Procurement developed application KSLC (KPMG Software Licensing Console) utilizing Microsoft’s Power-Platform to allow for one-stop servicing of demand management, query resolution, license purchase requests, tracking license consumption, escalation management, knowledge sharing, operational and management reporting. Level 2 and Level 3 support service is provided by a third party.
The Supplier Operations Manager is largely responsible for managing the day-to-day operations in relation to the KSLC application and offering First Level support to the KPMG member firms with their order and billing queries. The Supplier Operations Manager acts as the interface between KPMG and our reseller who is responsible for the (Microsoft) license reservations that come through the ISAAC application. The Supplier Operations Manager will need to be skilled and have the experience with Microsoft technologies such as PowerBI and PowerApps.
In addition this role manages the performance of our software reseller(s) to ensure timely renewal of software licenses and maintenance, manages client planning and reporting and establishes processes for commodity buys for the Global Procurement team.
What you will do:
Software (reseller) supplier management
Manage all KPMG International’s software and maintenance renewals via the reseller channel
Engage with business owners/sponsors to ensure timely processing of their requisitions
Recommend reseller process optimization/automation
KPMG Software Licensing Console (KSLC) operations management
Be the expert on all functional areas of the console (holistic view) as well as the business owner of the technology and application used to run the software operations
Bring together Global Procurement, the Reseller, business stakeholders, ITS Global and 3rd party developers to manage KSLC roadmap/lifecycle
Prioritize KSLC application bugs and enhancements, and involved with planning timely application releases and communications
Anticipate changes to and oversee maintenance/validation of key data lists within the KSLC (i.e. ensuring the product table, Global cost centers, country and entity lists etc. are updated when required by appropriate parties)
Monitor console adoption and end user experience by analyzing metrics, soliciting stakeholder feedback. Make recommendations for improvement and implement changes
Monitor reporting on volume of MF and Global application users, and GP funded license count within the KSLC
Act as GP point of contact from License Desk, and ITS Global production support personnel for KSLC
Oversees the execution of the KSLC data retention policy
Manages the development and maintenance of Global Procurement’s ordering processes
Is the first point of contact for any technical issues or updates to the console and is accountable to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner
Conducts regular reviews of existing processes, standards and practices to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness and/or better align to client needs
Conducts research to identify best practices
Designs and implements new processes/standards or re-engineers existing processes/standards
Partners with key internal KPMGI stakeholders to ensure compliance with KPMG's regulatory, financial, legal and risk management requirement
Provides advice and support to Global Procurement and/or member firms on new/updated processes and standards
Maintains and updates all documentation pertaining to system operations and trainings
Provides analytics to the Global Procurement leadership team as required (e.g., design of surveys, complex data consolidation and reporting, interpretation of existing data feeds, key trends and emerging issues analysis)
Is the primary relationship manager with the Global Procurement team/member firms/business units/stakeholders
Engages stakeholders in continuous conversation to pass on new information and solidify partnerships for future procurement activities
Informs business units of Global Procurement’s performance against expected measurement criteria
Maintains ongoing productive relationships with suppliers and resellers to:
Review analyses on key Business Services deliveries
Organization and execution of Quarterly Business Review meetings
Implement improvements of service delivery
Strategy and Business Planning
Develops and/or refreshes the category strategy and annual plans for assigned operational and tactical suppliers ensuring alignment with the goals, strategies and value proposition of Global Procurement
Engages key stakeholders to understand and identify their business priorities and identify needs
Researches innovative or emerging procurement processes in the marketplace
Researches what’s been done in KPMGI and member firms to identify opportunities and risks
Assesses financial, operational, legislative and reputational risk during the development of the strategy and plans
