Make your mark while you grow your career! At Canadian Natural, Supply Management Analysts support the operational activities of Conventional, Thermal, and Oil Sands production. As a Contracts Analyst in the Conventional and Thermal Facilities & Corporate Contracts Group, you will manage various aspects of the sourcing cycle, including RFPs, RFQs, proposal evaluations, contract awards, formation, and administration. Engaging closely with operational teams, you will drive change and seek continuous improvements in supply management processes. Your expertise in contract analysis will ensure compliance with contractual obligations and foster positive relationships with suppliers and stakeholders. Exposure to all phases of the contracting process will allow you to significantly impact the business by maximizing efficiency and working with diverse stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities:
- Prepare, administer, and efficiently close out contracts, including managing change orders and amendments as needed, ensuring smooth contract lifecycles from start to finish
- Establish and meticulously maintain auditable contract files, ensuring proper documentation is readily available for reference and compliance purposes at all times
- Conduct thorough marketplace research and perform insightful data analysis to provide valuable insights and support strategic decision-making processes
- Develop and deliver comprehensive reports and metrics, including detailed spend evaluations and cost comparisons, enabling informed business decisions and financial planning
- Conduct comprehensive contract risk assessments, evaluating terms and conditions, and recommend effective risk mitigation strategies to safeguard the organization’s interests
- Foster seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Finance, and Operations, ensuring contractual alignment and compliance with established requirements and organizational goals
What You Bring to the Role:
- 3-5+ years of contract management experience with a university degree or related post-secondary education
- Desire to pursue or completion of a Supply Chain Management Professional designation is an asset
- Practical experience with contract development, including negotiating terms and conditions
- Experience with contract management systems and/or ERP systems
- Strong business acumen, business writing skills, and knowledge of basic contract types and contractual language
